Essential Oil

from $15.95

For it to be economically feasible for a lavender farm to make their own essential oil they must have at least 15 to 20 acres of lavender as it takes about a bushel of lavender flowers to make a one ounce bottle of essential oil.  And then in most cases, that one ounce sells for $20 or more.  As our customers often inquire about lavender essential oil we decided to purchase the oil from some of the types of lavender we raise, Lavendula Intermedia in the Pierre Grosso variety "French" which has more of a camphor and clean top note and Lavendula Angustifolia "English" a more green floral scent, in bulk so we can offer it at a reasonable price.  The "French" oil is sourced from France.  Even though technically, Grosso and Provence varieties are not "French Lavender", (see About Lavender page for more info) they are what most people are talking about when they say French lavender....and what we call French lavender around our farm.
